Cantaloupe Island

From our set list. It's been a while, so It was good to refresh it.

  1. Drums- find the groove, and stick to it (I like the use of the toms in your groove, but it could use some more kick). Save your fills for the changes between sections and the break- like at :11, and otherwise, lay down the groove. Listen to the way the bass and the piano fit together, and support that. Check out some recordings on line too.

  2. The tune was pretty sweet. I liked the tempo and the solos sounded pretty inspired. Over the solos though I feel that the backround figures could really be pushed on the 9th to 12th measure on the 1..and....1..and.... I feel like the drums were a little distracting though sorry... This was Kyle Btw

  3. I don't really know what else to say, what Kyle said was spot on to what I feel

  4. I gotta remember that there's another 4 bars of F after the Dm... and yeah the ride cymbal to be specific is super distracting, I'm having a hard time concentrating on the soloists. Like Mr. Rabuse said, you gotta find a groove so its not just 8th notes all day long. OR it COULD be 8th notes all day if you emphasized the more important hits.
